axoServicesTM iPSC Differentiation
Outsource your iPSC project to the experts
Outsource your iPSC differentiation project to the experts and prioritize quality, experience and confidence
Make the right choice, first time
With over a decade of experience in the human iPSC space, we understand that high-quality differentiation is challenging, with significant risks and costs if not performed well. But like you, we also see the enormous value of human iPSCs for building better, more physiologically relevant models of human disease.
That’s why we offer our iPSC expertise to leading biopharma and research organizations globally. We’ve developed a tried-and-tested workflow to provide full-service differentiation from iPSCs to end-point cells, with robust characterization and ongoing support from our expert scientists.
Clients who work with Axol share our obsession with doing it once and doing it well. We prioritize quality control and characterization, always built-in as standard in our projects, to ensure there are no surprise challenges (or costs), maximizing project success. That gives you more confidence, time and resource to focus on your research to produce better human disease models for drug discovery and beyond.
Choose an axoServicesTM Differentiation project for:
Prioritization of quality and consistency
Open discussions with actual iPSC experts
Dependable, high-quality project outcomes
“Working with AXOL has been a professional experience all around. Data was delivered on time and presented in a clear and concise fashion. Our expectations were met, and we plan to work together again.”
Dr Ian Moench, GSK

Example cases
Brief: A client would like to produce microglia for an Alzheimer’s monoculture disease model, using cells from Axol’s banks.
Project: Axol iPSC line ax0113 (derived from an Alzheimer’s patient) was already well-characterized for both cell culture performance and physiological, end-point performance. As a result, differentiation using our proprietary small molecule process went smoothly.
Outcome: Generation of 30 vials of microglia within 6 weeks (plus extensive QC). Additional custom assays (chemotaxis and phagocytosis) were performed and reported.
Brief: A client would like us to differentiate their cells into sensory neurons for use in monoculture, before consideration of co-culture.
Project: Initial characterization revealed significant quality issues with the source material. However, Axol provided advice and additional optimization steps to account for the challenges, communicating this with the client.
Outcome: Generation of 30 vials of sensory neurons in 8 weeks, plus extensive QC. By identifying and communicating challenges up-front, there was full transparency with the additional time and resources for project completion.
We offer differentiation of iPSCs to the following cell types:
