NETRI launch new organ-on-chip kit powered by axoCellsTM

NETRI, the leading provider of organ-on-chip technologies for pre-clinical neuroscience discovery, have recently announced the launch of a new range of organ-on-chip kits for high-throughput in vitro modeling of the peripheral nervous system.

At Axol, we’re excited to see the launch of this new organ-on-chip (OOC) range, which will be powered by axoCells iPSC-derived sensory neurons. Combining the quality and consistency of Axol’s sensory neurons with NETRI’s OOC capabilities, the company will be able to deliver robust in vitro model systems of the peripheral nervous system. Built in a high-throughput format, these OOC kits will enable the generation of larger, faster, and more predictive datasets. Ultimately, this collaboration will help to drive the adoption of OOCs in biopharma, enabling better in vitro modeling to boost neurological research and drug discovery.

Progress in action

We previously announced our collaboration agreement with NETRI to power their organ-on-chip platforms with our axoCells iPSC-derived sensory neurons, alongside a joint R&D framework. We are delighted to see the announcement of the organ-on-chip kit range and look forward to future collaborations with NETRI, as well as other platform providers who wish to power their platforms with axoCells.
