Primary Human Hepatic Stellate Cells
Human Hepatic Stellate cells are isolated from whole human livers that are not suitable for liver transplantation.
The cell composition consists of a homogeneous population of hepatic stellate cells. Stellates are characterized by yield, viability, morphology, and passage. The purity of the stellate cell population is determined using FACS analysis for the % positive of cell surface markers vimentin (filament protein marker), α-SMA (smooth muscle marker), and vinculin (cytoskeleton marker). Each stellate cell lot has a minimum of 100,000 cells per vial and a viability of > 70%.
